Archives to Award Special NGS Grant

Are you in Charleston, SC this week? If so, you're in luck! Archives is making a special a special $1,000 grant award at the NGS conference!

The mission of the Archives.com Grant is to help fund important individual and communal initiatives that contribute to the promotion and advancement of family history research and historical preservation. These might be projects to preserve historical documents, restore culturally significant artifacts, transcribe records, promote awareness of historical events, etc.

The grant is awarded monthly through Archives.com, but a special grant recipient will be chosen here at NGS! Whether you are in the planning stages, or are currently working on a project that needs an extra boost to get off the ground, we encourage you to submit an application.

The winner will recieve:

  • A $1,000 dollar award to fund their project
  • A feature on the Archives.com website, including pictures and a description of their project

How it works:

If you're an NGS participant come by booths #229 and #231 to get an application. Return the application to an Archives.com representative during Exhibit Hall hours, no later than 11am Saturday, May 14th. A winner will be chosen at 2pm May 14th at the booths #229 and #231. You do not need to be present to win. This is an enormous opportunity so we encourage you to stop by to learn more and pick-up an application!
