washington-state-seal.png President's Day may have just come and gone, but there's still plenty to celebrate. Now Archives.com users can search through two million new vital records to track down ancestors from the state named after our first president. This addition is made up of three new collections from the Washington State Digital Archives.

Here's a little bit more information about each collection:

  • Washington Birth Records, covering years 1881 to 1908. Records in this collection generally include name, birth date, county and/or city of birth, as well as mother and father's names, birthplaces, and occupations. These Washington birth records are true goldmine of genealogical information.
  • Washington Death Records, covering years 1890 to 1908. Records include name, death date, birth year, and county and/or city of death.
  • Washington Marriage Records, covering years 1905 to 1970. Records in this collection include the names of the bride and groom, county and/or city of marriage, and marriage license number.
