This collection contains over 20,000 death records of persons who served as Confederate soldiers in the U.S. Civil War. This information was taken from obituaries published in Confederate Veteran Magazine and cemetery records. Most records include: birth and death dates, location, as well as service details including rank and cemetery.

Provided by the Washington State Digital Archives, this collection was originally compiled by Ralph Seefeld, Archivist of the Genealogical Society of South Whidbey Island.
