The Utah Divorce Records Index typically includes the following information: full name of both parties, the location of the court where the divorce was filed, the filing date for the case, the case number, and the date the divorce was final. In certain cases, some of that information might be missing if the source divorce record was incomplete.
About the Utah Administrative Office of the Courts and Utah Department of Health
The Utah Administrative Office of the Courts oversees the district courts, which are responsible for hearing divorce cases. Divorces are filed within the county of residence, so district courts hold divorce records for the counties that are within that jurisdiction. There are eight district courts within Utah. The Administrative Office of the Courts, who will be able to direct individuals to the correct district courthouse to obtain the desired divorce records.
Although the public may access divorce records through the Utah Administrative Office of the Courts, the Utah Department of Health operates the vital records for the state, which includes divorce records, in addition to birth certificates, death certificates and marriage licenses.
The Utah Department of Health holds divorce records dating back to 1978. Due to state privacy laws, the full divorce record is not released to the public. However, a divorce can be verified as having taken place and a certified summary of the record will be released.

Many of the district courts have public access computers as well to look up divorce records that occurred within that particular district court.
