Andrews County records are maintained by the Andrews County Clerk (http://www.co.andrews.tx.us/coclerk.htm) who keeps original copies of vital statistics; these records include birth and death certificates, marriage licenses, and other records. Copies are maintained at the Texas Department of State Health Services, Texas Vital Statistics Division. Texas birth records are protected for 75 years and death records for 25 years; only family members can obtain certified copies, but anyone can get a verification letter. Certified copies cost $23.00 for birth certificates, $21.00 for death certificates, and $21.00 for marriage licenses. Requests can be made in person or by mail.
