Armstrong County birth and death records are available from 1906 to the present from the Division of Vital Records in New Castle. Each copy costs $10.00, and valid identification must be given. Marriage and divorce certificates may be obtained at the Clerk of Orphans Court in Kittanning. The fee for a marriage record is $7.50. Divorce decrees are $3.50, payable at the prothonotary in the same building. The county was organized on March 12, 1800.
