Boone County, NE Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records
Boone County has two primary local agencies that maintain records for the area, the Boone-Nance Genealogical Society along with the Register of Deeds. The Society has a number of online resources, including cemetery records, marriage indexes from 1873 to 1911, military records, and a variety of family histories. The Register primarily handles property records, and those related, such as tax liens, and others. Birth, death, divorce, and marriage records are officially maintained at the state level by the State Department of Health and Human Services which operates its vital records department. All records available from the office are dated from the early 1900s and continue to the present, and records dated more recently than 50 years are not open to the public. Individuals interested in learning more can call the office at (402) 471-2871 or email them at DHHS.VitalRecords@nebraska.gov. Boone County Recorder Office - Birth, Death, Marriage & Divorce Records
