Marriage certificates may be obtained at the Register of Wills in the Butler County Courthouse in Butler, or by mail (form available online). The research fee for a marriage record is $5.00, and a certified copy is $5.00. A copy of a license application is $1.00. No fee is required for active military personnel with valid identification. Money order or cashiers check only for mail orders. Divorce decrees are available at the prothonotary in the same building.
