Located towards the southwestern corner of Nebraska, Chase County is primarily an agricultural area with over 50% of the total land area devoted to farming, and another large percentage devoted to livestock. The Chase County Register of Deeds is responsible for collecting and maintaining all property records for the county, as well as making them available for research purposes. The Register website provides a comprehensive listing of all fees for services provided
, such as providing copies of individual records. The Chase County Historical Society also has a large number of records
online, as well as a detailed listing
of all documents available at the museum it operates in the town of Champion. While the museum is only open during the summer months on Sunday afternoons, those interested in visiting any other time can contact the Society to schedule an appointment.
