Clinton County vital recordsTo obtain a certified copy of a marriage, death, or birth record for Clinton County from the Clinton County Clerk's Office you must send a letter of request. This letter should contain the person's name and date of record. You must also send a photocopy of your driver's license or birth certificate for identification purposes. Request for vital records can also be made to the Illinois Department of Public Health. Their records begin in 1916 for birth and death and in 1962 for marriage records. To request records of divorce you must contact the Clinton County Circuit Court Clerk.
