Copies may be ordered from the county clerk by mail, phone, fax, or in person; online orders for records after 1903 are handled by the state through TexasOnline, the official state eGovernment site. Older records may be available at the Texas State Library Genealogy Section or through the county clerk. Created from Lamar and Hopkins Counties in 1870, Delta had formerly been populated by Caddo Native Americans until 1790.
