In Erie County, birth and death records from 1885 to 1905 are available through the Erie County Historical Society. From 1906 to the present, such records are obtained from the Division of Vital Records in New Castle. Certified marriage records can be obtained at the Clerk of Records Office in the Erie County Courthouse in Erie for a fee of $10.00. Personal searches are free, or there is a $20.00 charge if the office searches for you. Birth or death records from 1893-1905 are $10.00. Certified copies of divorce decrees can be obtained for a fee at the Infocon County Access Page.
