The Gasconade County Historical Society operates out of Hermann, MO, including running the Gasconade County Historical Society Archives & Records Center located on 315 Schiller Street. The Center is open and fully staffed by volunteers and research assistants from 9:00AM until 5:00PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and 9:00AM until 12:00PM on Saturdays. The Society offers an online research request form where individuals can make specific requests for a minimum charge of $30, with additional charges possibly accruing if the project exceeds the minimum amount of time. Some of the records the Society has on file at the Center include marriage records index dated from 1822, two years after the county's formation, until 1978.
