Genesee County, MI Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records
Genesee County allows individuals to research and obtain copies of vital records by either using their online ordering service, or by visiting the Vital Records Services Department directly in the second floor of the Circuit Courthouse on 900 South Saginaw Street in Flint, MI. The office allows up to six researchers at one time and is only open on Fridays from 9:00AM until 4:00PM. It is staffed by volunteers from the Flint Genealogical Society who can aid in research during this period. Birth, death, and marriage records are available from 1867 to the present, and divorce records from 1871 to the present. The County Clerk website provides information on how to obtain records, either online, in person, or through the mail, along with all fees and restrictions associated with the service. The office accepts only money orders for mail-in requests, but does accept credit cards online.
