Greene County vital recordsThe Greene County Museum, located on the 4th floor of the County Courthouse in Leakesville, MS, is operated by the Greene County Historical Society and serves to preserve the history of the area, collect and index records for the area, and make those records available to the public for research purposes. The museum is open to the public Monday through Friday during regular business hours. In addition, the Greene County Chancery Clerk, which is where interested individuals can go to get officially certified copies of all records except for birth, death, and marriage, which are provided by the Mississippi State Department of Health's Vital Records Division. The necessary applications are provided online, and can be mailed to the office, or delivered in person to 571 Stadium Dr in Jackson, MS, on Monday through Friday from 8:00AM until the counter stops accepting new customers at 4:30PM.
