Grundy County vital recordsThe Grundy County Historical Society in Trenton, MO, has marriage records on file dating from 1840 until 1921, county histories for 1881, 1908, and 1939, as well as death and cemetery records from assorted dates. Membership with the Society is $10 per year per individual, and members can request research done free of charge, while nonmembers must pay a $10 fee. Officially, the Recorder of Deeds, also in Trenton in the Grundy County Courthouse at 700 Main Street, has marriage records, military discharges, and property records that all date from 1841, the year of the county's formation, until the present. Additionally, the Grundy County Health Department maintains a vital records department that has birth records on file from 1920 to the present, and death records from 1980 also to the present.
