The Ionia County Clerk's office is open for vital record and genealogy research every weekday except for Tuesdays, from 8:30AM until 5:00PM. Due to occasional staffing issues, it is advised to call ahead if individuals plan on arriving during the noon hour. Birth and death certificates from 1867 to the present are available for viewing, along with marriage records from 1837 to the present, and divorce records from 1858 to the present. Research space is limited to any available counter space, and as such, it is advised to make reservations if individuals plan on stopping by the Clerk's office. Email inquiries can be sent to the main email address at firstname.lastname@example.org, and the office is on the 1st floor of the main courthouse in Ionia, MI., at 100 West Main Street. to obtain physical copies of records through the mail.
