Knox County vital recordsThe Missouri Digital Heritage project, the online wing of the Missouri State Archives offers a huge number of records online and available for research on Knox County, as well as every other county in the state. The total amount of records available via the Heritage website is more than 6.8 million, and they are all broken down into categories, as well as by county for optimal browsing and searching. The Archives also operates a research room in its library in Jefferson City where over 336 million pages of records and historical documents are physically stored. The library is located at 600 West Main Street and is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00AM until 5:00PM, with extended hours on Thursday, from 8:00AM until 8:00PM, and limited hours on Saturday, from 9:00AM until 3:00PM. Library staff will also perform research free of charge for those who are unable to visit in person.
