Lincoln County vital recordsLincoln County vital records can be ordered locally, in person or by mail for $15, from the Chandler Health Department, or from the state Health Department. Statewide registration of birth and death records was initiated upon statehood in 1907, mandated in 1917, but compliance was sporadic until the 1940s. Birth records for living persons are limited to immediate family. Marriage/divorce records are unrestricted court records, ordered from the Chandler County Clerk of Court. Historical records are available from the Oklahoma Historical Society in Oklahoma City. Lincoln County, part of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Statistical Area, was opened to non-Indian settlement in 1891 and organized as County A.
