Vital records such as birth, marriage or divorce certificates can be ordered directly from the County Clerk by either going into the office or filling out the form found on the County website. If you are going to make your request in person it is best to call ahead to find out what identification you must bring to have your request processed and what fees are involved so that there are no delays in making your request. The County Clerk's Office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Requests for vital records can also be made to the Illinois Department of Public Health. Requests for divorce records must be made to the Macon County Circuit Clerk.
