Marion County vital recordsMarion County Records Office is the best place to begin your search for vital records such as, birth records, death records, marriage records and divorce records. One of the many duties of the County Recorder is to maintain and make available to you certified vital records. Another place to request vital records is the Iowa Bureau of Public Heath as they have birth, death and marriage records from 1921-1941 which the County does not have access to. To begin you request for vital certificates an application must be filled out in person at the state office, sent by mail, or ordered by phone. All requests for the purpose of family history take at least 60 days to process. You may also request vital records through VitalChek, an online document ordering system.
