The Health Department of Marion County, Oregon (http://www.co.marion.or.us/HLT/vitals/), provides certified copies of birth and death records for events that occur in Marion County up to six months from the date of occurrence. The fee is $20.00 for the first copy and $15.00 for extra copies at the same time. After six months, inquiries are referred to the state (http://public.health.oregon.gov/BirthDeathCertificates/GetVitalRecords/Pages/index.aspx ). Orders for birth, death, marriage, and divorce records may be placed directly on VitalChek's webpage at www.VitalChek.com. The order must include complete vital record information and order processing documentation.
