Martin County, MN Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records
Marshall County, home to the Agassiz National Wildlife Refuge, a 61,500 acre protected area, permits researchers access to public records at the County Recorder's office in the county seat of Warren, MN, on 208 E Colvin Ave in Suite 7. The office, which is open throughout the week during regular business hours, also provides physical copies of records to qualified individuals. Birth and death records are available from 1884, although birth records are only part of the public record under certain circumstances. Marriage records are listed from 1881, as well, and land records begin in the late 1800s, in general. Copies of records, either certified or uncertified, can be obtained from the office upon the completion of the applicable forms and submission of fees. The Marshall County Historical Museum has a research library filled with genealogical resources, such as census records from 1840 to 1930, a massive index of surnames, various newspapers on microfilm, and a great deal more.
