Midland County, MI Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records

Midland County vital recordsThe format that Midland County vital records are kept in is dependent upon the actual age of the records. For instance, death records are available from 1867 to the present, however deaths listed from 1867 to 1962 are located in liber books, from 1965 to 1984 in card indexes, and records from 1984 to the present are stored via computer records. Birth and marriage records are also available with dates beginning in 1867 and continuing to the present, and both follow a similar formatting scheme. Divorce records begin in 1916 to the present, and naturalization records are kept from 1855 to 1965, as well. The County Clerk staff will take care of any searching required in the card index and computer systems, and research requirements, including fees, contact information, and record request forms are listed on the Clerk's website. Due to the limited staff and research space, a maximum of two researchers are allowed at once.
