Montgomery County vital records can be obtained through the Kansas Department of Health by filling out an application for a birth record, death record, marriage record or divorce record. To have your application processed you must show proof of direct lineage post-1940 and relation as at least a cousin pre-1940. If you are searching for vital records pre-1911 you can check with the Montgomery County Clerk's Office to see if they still have the County's old record volumes or with the Kansas State Historical Society for Historical Research as they have Miami County's record volumes on microfilm.
