Free registration is required. Land records (starting in 1966) could also be useful to genealogists. Housed in the historic Grogan/Cochran home, built in 1924, the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County features exhibits that chronicle the county's roots. The Heritage Museum itself dates from 1985.
