Nicollet County vital recordsThe Nicollet County Historical Society, a collection of researchers, volunteers, and genealogists in Nicolett County, operates a research library that has a wide variety of vital records and genealogical research materials, such as census records from 1860 to 1920, microfilmed copies of birth and death cards, church and naturalization records from the mid 1800s to the present, and much more. They are also staffed with volunteers who can aid with research projects, or perform research themselves for $20 an hour. The research library is open from Tuesday to Friday, 10:00AM until 4:00PM, and is open to the public. To obtain physical copies of certified records, the Nicolett County Recorder's office allows walk-ins and provides applications on their website. They also provide the LandShark application, which allows online viewing of property records, and requires contacting the office directly to set up an account.
