Otsego County, MI Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records
Along with the Gaylord Fact Finders Genealogical Society, a group whose purpose is "to research family histories and genealogy" for Otsego County, the County Clerk has genealogy and vital records research under the list of Clerk's Office Services. They provide applications online for death certificates, available from 1875 to the present, and marriage records, listed from 1895 to the present, which can either be mailed into the office, or physically taken in. The application for birth records is also listed, however they are only open to the public when older than 110 years. Divorce records from 1895 to the present are also available. Personal checks are not accepted when mailing in records requests. If planning on visiting the County Clerk office in person, please note that only one researcher is allowed at one time due to extreme space constraints. The office is closed on Mondays.
