The Patrick County Clerk of Court is the custodian of county records, including marriages and genealogical records. Genealogical requests are not accepted by email. However, the genealogy section of the Patrick County Historical Society Museum and Research Center, in Stuart (the county seat), contains family histories and birth, death, and marriage records extracted from courthouse records. Family databases can be accessed by staff. Send requests via USPS or e-mail. Please be brief and specific; include surname and approximate year of birth. Vital records are available to qualified individuals for $12.00 at the Virginia Department of Health.
