Both the Newtown Historical Society and the Greater Ridgewood Historical Society are located in Queens and have a number of historical and genealogical records and resources on file. The latter accepts research requests submitted by traditional mail, as does the office of the County Clerk whose primary duties include collecting and archiving of County and Supreme civil and criminal court and property records, among others.
