Redwood County vital recordsThe Redwood Falls Public Library operates a genealogy research room that is open to the public and contains a decently sized amount of resources available for research, such as vital records on microfilm, newspapers from the mid 1800s, ancestral charts, as well as recommendations of sources for continued research. The library has a staff that will perform searches, as well, for a fee of either $5 for a single request, or $20 for a hour's worth of research, with one hour being the maximum. They provide a genealogy request form upon which specific requests can be written and mailed into the library. To acquire actual certified copies of records, the County Recorder is in the Redwood County Government Center on 403 South Mill Street in the town of Redwood Falls, MN. Vital records available through the Recorder's office are dated from the mid to late 1860s.
