Sibley County vital recordsThe Sherburne History Center of Sherburne County maintains and provides a large number of vital and genealogical records for the county, listing many of them online in a number of databases. Birth records from 1870 to 1899, deaths from 1856 to 1923, census records from the mid and late 1800s, marriage records from 1856 to 07/09/1925, and much more are all provided online, available to search by the public for free. The Center will also perform specific research requests which would access all records applicable to the request, as well as provide copies of results, for $20 an hour with a minimum $10 charge. The Sherburne County Recorder Office, located in the Government Center in Elk River, MN., also handles recording and distributing of vital records to qualified requesters. Records the office has on file generally date back to 1870 and continue to the present.
