Treasurer staff is on hand to provide free research assistance during regular business hours, as well. The Treasurer department provides birth and death record applications via its section in the county website. The Swift County Historical Society also operates a Research Library that the public can utilize, though there is a small fee required for nonmembers to search through the available resources and use the microfilm reader and printer. Research materials at the library include state census records from 1875 to 1905, the naturalization records for the county, and much more.
