The Mississippi State Archives, located in Jackson, MS, also has a comprehensive listing of most records for the state, providing a sizeable portion of it online in several databases the public can access at no cost. They also accommodate individual research at the Archives Library where a number reading and research rooms are prepared, along with computer terminals, and copy machines. They will perform research, as well, at the cost of $27 for an hour's worth for out-of-state residents, and for no charge for residents of Mississippi. For local access to records, the Tate County Chancery and Circuit Clerks are both located in Senatobia on 201 Ward Street S. The Chancery Clerk handles property and divorce records for the area, and the Circuit Clerk handles the marriage records.
