Tyler County, WV Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records
Tyler County birth, death, and marriage records from 1917 to the present are available to family members from the state Vital Registration Office for $12 (in most cases). However, vital records are not public until 100 years (birth records) or 50 years (death and marriage records) after their dates of issuance. The Tyler County Clerk maintains older birth, marriage, and death records as well as all divorce records. Tyler County was created in 1814 from Ohio County and named for Virginia Governor John Tyler. His son, John Tyler, became President. Charles Wells, the first English settler thereabouts, made a good start in populating the county.Tyler County Recorder Office - Birth, Death, Marriage & Divorce Records
