All births and deaths occurring in Wasco County, Oregon, are filed by Vital Records at the North Central Public Health District (http://www.wshd.org/wshd/resources_birth_certificates.htm). Birth and death certificates can be purchased for up to six months after they are recorded. Certified copies are $20 for the first copy and $15 for each additional copy at the time of the order. For copies of records six months after the event, requests should be directed to the state Vital Records Office (http://public.health.oregon.gov/BirthDeathCertificates/GetVitalRecords/Pages/index.aspx). Inquiries can be directed also to VitalChek (http://www.vitalchek.com/). The non-refundable fee for one copy is $32.50, including $12.50 for processing. Copies of marriage and divorce records are also available there.
