Only family members can obtain birth records from the last century as well as death and marriage records from the last 50 years. Divorce records are maintained by the Webster County Clerk, as are other records from before 1917. Webster County was created in 1860 from Braxton, Nicholas, and Randolph Counties and named for orator and jurist Daniel Webster.
