Wright County, MN Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records

Wright County vital recordsWright County, named for Silas Wright, Governor of New York State in the mid 1800s, has its vital records available through its License and Certificates Department. The office welcomes those who wish to visit and search through the public records available, and they will also perform research for those who are unable to for a fee of $20 an hour. Records the office has available include birth and death records, which begin in 1871, and marriage records which begin in 1950. To view marriage records dated earlier, as far back as 1858, individuals are advised to contact the Wright County Historical Society, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to compile and make available to the public as many vital and historic records as it can. To this end, it operates a reference library and archive which is open to the public at no cost.
