Vital records for Wright County can be gotten from two different locations. The Wright County Health Department is located at 300 South Main in Suite C in the town of Hartville, MO, and serves as the local access point for birth and death records. That office is one of many local branches of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, which operates its own Bureau of Vital Records
in Jefferson City. The applications provided on the Bureau website can be turned in physically at the local Health Department, or mailed into the Bureau along with the appropriate fees. The applications must be notarized prior to being submitted. For other records, such as marriage and property, the Circuit Clerk, who also performs as the county Recorder, is housed in the Wright County Courthouse, also in Hartville. That office is open to members of the public who wish to research the indexed records there.
