- Lovitt's Searchable Genealogy Databases on the World Wide Web
- The Genealogical Server (GenServ) is a project to share GEDCOM files over internet. Over 17 million indivudual's names and info about them are held in over 13,200 different databases. (Over 10 databases are added every day!) See the GenServ Documentation for information on sending data. Anyone interested is entitled to one FREE surname search.
- Genealogy Exchange & Surname Registry is a community effort to provide the genealogical community with free information
- GENDEX indexes WWW genealogy databases and contains over a million names. GenMatch links these online databases by finding overlaps between databases.
- DistantCousin.com, archive of genealogical data and document images
- Geneanet: Genealogical Database Network
- Everton Publishers' many databases may be searched online with Everton's On-Line Search.
- AncientFaces provides a forum for the free online exchange of photographs.
- Interment.net is a directory of websites that have on-line cemetery burial records and Obitcentral.com has obituary and cemetery search engines and links to obituary information. Cemetery Junction has links to cemetery information and transcripts in the U.S. and Australia.

- GeneaLinks has a database of user submitted marriage records and GeneaBios has a database of online biographies.
