This database contains an every-name index to individuals enumerated in the 1921 Canada Census, the sixth census of Canada since confederation in 1867. In addition, the names listed on the population schedules are linked to actual images from the 1921 Census. The census can also be browsed by province, district, and sub-district. Canada added 1,581,840 new residents between the 1911 and 1921 censuses, a 22 percent increase. The Prairie Provinces were the big gainers, with Alberta and Saskatchewan each growing by more than 50 percent, while the Yukon lost half of its population. The 1921 Canada Census records details about almost 8.8 million Canadians and is the most recent Canadian census available to the public, released in 2013 after a 92-year waiting period to protect the privacy of those enumerated.

Since Canada didn't officially become a country until 1867, the first national census wasn't held until 1871. The 1861 Census of Canada is a collection of five provincial censuses. This database contains a name index to these censuses along with images of the original records. Due to the poor quality of the original filming, some images are unreadable or very difficult to read. As a result, some names may not appear in the index. Censuses were taken throughout different times of the year in the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Canada East (Lower Canada, or roughly southern Quebec), and Canada West (Upper Canada, or roughly southern Ontario). Unfortunately, not all of the 1861 censuses have survived, so this database does not contain a complete representation of the above areas.

Find A Grave provides users a virtual cemetery experience, with images of grave markers from around the world, as well as photos, biographies, and other details uploaded by volunteers. You may find obituaries and links to other family members included as well. Find A Grave got its start in 1995 when founder Jim Tipton built a website to share his hobby of visiting the graves of famous people. The website attracted thousands of visitors and soon grew to be more than just a collection of famous people's graves, as volunteers began uploading images of headstones, burial information, and personal memorials from around the world. Today, Find A Grave is home to more than 110 million memorials. Note that all data is uploaded by Find A Grave volunteers. If you would like to contribute additional or new information, you can do so via the Find A Grave website. Want to Help? Find A Grave volunteers both make and fill requests for headstone images. You can become a "Graver" yourself with the Find A Grave mobile app. It's free and available here.

This database is a collection of phone and address directories from throughout Canada from 1995-2002. With over 10 million entries, information contained in this database includes: name, spouse's name, address, city, province, phone number, year(s). Telephone directories are the descendants of city directories, with the criterion for inclusion simply being subscription to a particular phone service. Telephone directories are useful as locators of a person in a specific time and place and are very useful for twentieth-century family research. This type of directory can be great for locating living distant relatives, long lost friends, and neighbors of relatives.
