Beauregard Parish, LA Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records
Beauregard Parish is located on the western side of the State of Louisiana, with a population of over 30,000. The Parish derived its name from the Confederate general P.G.T. Beauregard who was one of the designers of the Confederate Battle Flag in the Civil War. The Parish officially became a part of the United States in the 1820s after the Louisiana Purchase, as well as a number of other treaties, namely the Adams-On's Treaty. The area, which had previously been wild, continued its lawless ways until many years later.
