The Clerk's office is in the county seat of Brewster, one of only 3 total towns in the county, at 145 Lincoln Ave. The office is open to the public, however contacting them either by email or phone at (308) 547-2222, extension 201, prior to visiting is advisable just to ensure space is available. While the County Clerk maintains the above mentioned records, the remaining ones, namely births and deaths, are maintained at the state level by the Nebraska Dept of Health and Human Services in Lincoln, NE.
