Cumberland County vital recordsCumberland County birth and death records are available from 1906 to the present from the Division of Vital Records in New Castle. Marriage records from 1885 onward can be obtained at the Register of Wills and Orphans Court in the Cumberland County Courthouse in Carlisle. The cost is $5.00, and an application form is available online for mail-in requests. Divorce decrees can be obtained for $16.50 at the Prothonotary Office in the same building. Public domain birth and death records (dated 1893 to 1905) are also available: birth records cost $10.00 and death records are $9.00. Cumberland County is the home of the Army War College.
