Erie County vital recordsThe Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society services both counties and is located at 25 Nottingham Court in the town of Buffalo. That is the location of the Society's research library which has over 200,000 historical photographs, over 20,000 books, and over 2,000 historical manuscript collections, along with a huge assortment of other records and documents such as Federal census records dating from 1790 to 1930, and State censuses for Erie county specifically dating from 1855 to 1925. The office of the Erie County Clerk also has a large number of records on hand, including all varieties of property records, marriage records, taxes information, and much more.
