The County Clerk's office, located at the same address as the Recorder except in Room 201, has a partial index of birth records from 1883 until 1892, land tax books available on microfilm that stretch from 1835 until 1988, even coroner inquest records also on microfilm that cover from 1863 until 1969. The Franklin County Health Department at 15 South Oak, also in Union, has birth records dating from 1920 and death records from 1980, both to the present.
