Guadalupe County, NM Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records

Guadalupe County vital recordsGuadalupe County, one of the lesser populated counties in the state with about 4,600 individuals residing there, is named after the patron saint of the Americas, Our Lady of Guadalupe, a Catholic icon of the Virgin Mary. The Catholic Church had long since kept indexes of their own records at various local parishes, and the New Mexico Genealogical Society provides a listing of churches in the area that have records on file, as well as what those records are, and their dates of availability. While most records, if not all at the various churches are available for research, birth and death records at the NM Department of Health's vital records department carry higher restrictions with regards to who can view and obtain copies of them. Death records older than 50 years are open to the public, however, as are birth records older than 100 years.
