The Recorder is located in the Jefferson County Administration Center at 729 Maple St. Also in Hillsboro and just down the street from the Courthouse is the Jefferson County Health Department at 405 Main St. The Vital Records Department there is in charge of recording and distributing birth and death certificates to qualified applications.
