Record copies for births (since 1921--present) and deaths (county: 1944--present; city: all years) are available from the King County Public Health Department in Seattle, with records since 1907 available from the Department of Health Center for Health Statistics in Olympia or VitalChek. For records before 1907, inquiries should be directed to the Washington State Archives. Requests for marriage records go to the King County Recorders Office or the King County Archives; for divorce certificates, to the Superior Court Clerk or to the state Center for Health Statistics.
