Kingfisher County, OK Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce Records

Kingfisher County vital recordsKingfisher County vital records, dating from 1907 at the Oklahoma Health Department in Oklahoma City, are available in person or by mail (online through VitalChek). Birth and death records are also available locally at the Kingfisher Health Department, with the restriction that birth records for living individuals are released to immediate family only. Although statewide recording of vital records was mandated in 1917, compliance was spotty until the 1940s. The Oklahoma Historical society maintains historical records, with marriage/divorce records available from the County Court Clerk. Kingfisher County, given to the Creek Nation in the 1830s, was reclaimed in the 1870s and opened to non-Indian settlement in 1890.
